2006 State of the Water Resources Report

The annual report of the Water Resources Monitoring Committee on the state of the water resources in the Spring Creek Watershed is now available for download.  This years report focuses on springs in the watershed and some of the unique features of this often overlooked feature.  This report entitled Springs: Lifeblood of the Community can be found below.

Spring Creek Canyon

A statement was submitted to the Citizens Advisory Committee on behalf of the Spring Creek Watershed Community by the Coordinating Committee concerning the land transfer of the surplus Rockview lands at their April 5, 2007 meeting. This letter expresses the direction the Spring Creek Watershed Community would like to see taken with these surplus lands.

Monthly Meetings:

The Spring Creek Watershed Coordinating Committee meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 AM at the Patton Township Municipal Building.  Public attendance is welcome!

About The Spring Creek Watershed Community:

The Spring Creek Watershed Community (SCWC) is a broad-based stakeholder initiative that was created as a result of the International Countryside Stewardship Exchange.

Mission Statement

The Spring Creek Watershed Community promotes actions that protect and enhance the quality of life, environment, and the economy throughout the watershed while maintaining and improving the high quality of Spring Creek and its tributaries.

 

Strategic Goals

1.  Increase public awareness of watershed issues through education and communication,

2.  Develop a vision for the future and implement it,

3.  Maximize involvement and participation in Spring Creek Watershed Community actions,

4.  Measure watershed quality and set goals for improvement,

5.  Increase intergovernmental and interorganizational cooperation, and

6.  Promote business and economic development actions that support the mission of the Spring Creek Watershed Community.
